National Association of Professional Women not only promotes the careers of the women in today’s
workforce, but also encourages the success of the next generation of professional women.
We are pleased to announce that NAPW will award $15,000 in scholarship money
for the 2012-2013 school year to five outstanding daughters of NAPW members, who are college-bound, high school seniors!
These five scholarships, based on academic performance, teacher recommendations,
public service, and an essay, will be awarded as follows:
1st Place Award - $5,000 Scholarship
4 Awards - $2,500 Scholarships
RULES:
- Student must be the daughter of an active NAPW VIP Member, Elite member, Preferred Member, Standard Member
or NAPW Trial Member.
- Scholarship is open to high school seniors, to be applied toward tuition and/or expenses during their
2012-2013 freshman year of college; student must enroll full-time for the fall 2012 semester.
- Minimum required GPA is 3.25 (unweighted , on a 4.0 scale).
- Student must be attending an accredited college, university, or certified trade school in the U.S.
- Application and all required information/materials must be submitted via web submission/email by 11:30pm on Friday, June 15, 2012. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.
- Winners will be contacted on Friday, July 6, 2012 via phone and/or email and will have 14 days
(by Friday, July 20, 2012) to respond, or else the award will be forfeited and given to a runner-up.
- The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card.
- NAPW will pay award money directly to the recipient's educational institution (appropriate information will be requested from the recipient).
- All information/materials submitted in support of this application become the property of NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship program.
- Scholarship winners will be selected by the Rising Stars Scholarship Committee at NAPW based on the student's GPA, school and community activities, work experience, essay, and recommendation letter. Students will be evaluated on a comparative basis at the sole discretion of the Committee. Decisions will be final

1 Transcript: PDF of recent transcript of student's high school grades.
2 Recommendation Letter: PDF of recommendation letter on school letterhead, with signature, from a faculty member. (Faculty member must state his or her relationship to student, and position at the school.)
3 Photo: Current photo of student (preferably a headshot). This will be used on the NAPW website should student be selected as a scholarship recipient.
4 Essay: One-page essay, written by the student: Describe your goals, and how you plan to connect, grow, learn and inspire as an aspiring professional woman (Word document or PDF).
